i can’t give you what I don’t have

the things i make come from within

the things I house in my heart

in my head

will make themselves known

my fears, my memories, and the people I love

are all in my work

and i want you to be there

 

That which lies deep within will always make themselves known. No matter how much we may try to hide, or suppress, the innermost aspects of our identities will be revealed. My truest identity lies in the fact that I have confessed Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, thus my work is intrinsically Christian. This is how I create. The things I make come from within me, and my work is an actualization of my deepest fears, memories, and loves. We were created for community, for relationships, and for intimacy, and dance is my way of embodying that.
